Words of gratitude from the Peaceful Paws community.
“Henriette’s gentleness, caring and reverence at the time of Nikki’s death was so appreciated. It was a difficult decision to make and her flexibility to fit us in so quickly, her lovely calm energy and confirmation of it being the right decision given Nikki’s level of disability all contributed to being a moment that was extremely sad but also beautiful. Thank you Henriette for being there for us and for Nikki, it was very much appreciated. Nikki was ever keen to be a part of whatever was going on and also her love of food kept her hanging on as long as she possibly could until she let go with a final snore. Nikki was such a gentle soul.”

“Such a tough day for our family, having to find the courage to say goodbye to our beautiful Roxy when we knew that it was her time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ”

“Thank you so much for making such a horrible time as nice as it could be. We are so grateful for this service - it helped us so much not only logistically but emotionally as well. Letting our beautiful boy go in the comfort of our home with us all there with him was so much better than having to take him to a cold vet’s room.
Everything was done with so much care and compassion and we had the space to say a proper goodbye to our gentle giant.
It was so hard but we know we made the right decision and we are so glad we chose Henriette and Peaceful Paws.”
— Steph Field

“Henriette. Myself and my mum were so lucky to have had you assist Petals in passing over (the) rainbow bridge when her body decided it was time. You made such a hard, and extremely emotional process feel ok. You gave petals so much love and care in her final moments and took her pain away from her, and allowed her to pass with dignity, and with everyone she loved surrounding her.
We are so grateful for everything you've done. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
— Renee Readett
“Thank you Henriette for your visit to our home recently, to assist us to say goodbye to our beautiful, beloved Alaskan Malamute Minnie.
She was the most wonderful dog ever and deserved to have the kindest and most peaceful departure from this life, which is exactly what you provided. Though it was a very sad event, you made the whole thing much easier, completely pain-free for Minnie and remained professional yet thoughtful, even light-hearted at times. It was such a privilege to say goodbye to Minnie in such a humane and loving way, we cannot thank you enough... for everything ”
— Yolanda Corduff
“I could not ask for a more dignified way of saying goodbye to my beloved, Maia. Henriette was so gentle and caring and allowed Maia to dictate where she wanted to be during our last moments together, and so we followed Maia outside, to a shady spot under a tree.
Maia didn’t feel any of the injections. She was relaxed and content before drifting peacefully to sleep with me laying by her side.
Henriette was unobtrusive and allowed plenty of time for me to say goodbye. It takes a very special person to do what you do, Henriette and I am grateful for your kindness and empathy..”
— Susanna Grilli

“Dr Henriette is a skilled and empathetic veterinarian, who engages with animals and humans equally well. She provided such a gentle and kind experience for Maggie the 13yo Scotty, and for me.
Letting go of a loved animal is so hard, but to have Dr Henriette come to your home and euthanise your pet in familiar surroundings is a gift to the pet, and makes the loss a little easier.
A wonderful service, highly recommended.”

“I lost my best friend 3 weeks ago… shattered my whole family as CC was one of us .. family…and such a beautiful girl.
She was diagnosed with 2 forms of cancer in January and unfortunately, it took her way too soon. I didn’t want CC to cross over at the vets. She always got a bit anxious in the car and I didn’t want her to feel like that at the end.
About a week before she passed I found Henriette on Facebook and we had a couple of chats via email about the procedure. Even without talking to her I knew she was the one to help us say goodbye.
One day we thought CC was good, the next she was gone. Henriette came out that same day without hesitation to help us.
CC passed away in my arms where she loved to sleep…on the floor in the hallway between my room and my daughters….always the protector.
Henriette was amazing. Quiet and calm and never rushed us. Such a beautiful person.
Thank you so much, Henriette. It meant the world to me to have my girl pass with dignity, surrounded by the people that loved her the most.”
— Leica Godfrey
“Henriette was wonderful and helped our Harris pass in such a calm and loved way. She gave us plenty of time and was so kind and respectful.
Having Harris pass in the back garden, in the shade of his favourite plant definitely helped with our grief.
The clay paw print, urn and other keepsakes we ordered are of high quality and will be treasured. Her partnership with Eden Hills for cremation and keepsakes went smoothly and Harris was returned to us in a good timeframe.
Truly grateful for her help in making a terrible day bearable.”
— Cherry Orvad
“Henriette did a beautiful job with my beloved cat today.
She was compassionate, patient and caring, she took the time I needed to explain everything, checked I was ready for the next step and just made the whole process as easy as it could be, considering.
It was so much nicer being able to do this heartbreaking thing in the comfort of my home with my boy in my arms and my family.
Thanks for looking after my boy, Henriette.”
— Kylie Ferguson

Henriette from Peaceful Paws was understanding and helpful with any questions we had about having to put our little dog to rest.
She is a qualified veterinarian who had a compassionate and caring nature. There are also some lovely options she offered as a memorial to remember our loyal dog. Thoroughly recommend Henriette’s service.”

“I, and my sons, are so grateful we found Henrietta. She is professional, empathetic and understanding.
When the time came for us to put our beautiful labrador to sleep she gave us the time and space we needed.
Nothing was rushed and every step was explained and always asked us if we were ready for the next step.
She is extremely compassionate and caring and made the experience so much more peaceful for our family and our dog.
Thank you Henrietta for the wonderful service you offer.”

“Henriette helped us recently when our little Milly passed away at home. She came the next morning without any hesitation to collect Milly and organised her cremation for us. Saving me a lot of pain trying to organise it myself.
I would absolutely recommend contacting Henriette if you have a loved pet who needed to pass over.”
— Cheryl Minniss

My beautiful Feebie was 17 and I had known for some time it was her time.

I couldn’t thank you enough for making such a hard day easier.”

“It was one of the hardest decisions of our life, but we knew we had to do the right thing for her. She was such an anxious old girl and got quite worked up at the vet. So we appreciate your service tremendously.
Billie passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home. Surrounded by us. Thank you”

“Dr Henriette is a highly skilled and empathetic vet, with the ability to engage and communicate with animals and humans.
I was devastated to lose Maggie the 13-year-old Scotty, but to have dr Henriette take her so gently into a peaceful sleep in her own bed made the loss easier to cope with.
After this experience, I would always opt for in-house euthanasia. Dr Henriette provides exceptional service to animals and their humans. Bless her..”

“Henriette is one of the most kind-hearted people I have got to know. I was lucky enough to nurse with Henriette for a couple of years.
During this time I worked closely with her while she put palliative care options in place for our patients. When the time came to say goodbye, she always provided the highest level of professionalism towards both patient and owners.
Henriette provides a professional and empathetic service. Your pet is in the kindest of hands when in her care.”
— Briony Sabey, vet nurse
“It has only been a month since our beautiful 13.5yr old Australian Shepherd Cooper has passed and we miss him dearly.
Although it was one of the saddest decisions we have had to make. Henriette was very reassuring and understanding during the whole process.
She knew we were both quite anxious and so took the time to make sure that Cooper would not be stressed. He was given one of his favourite treats of peanut butter before he went into a deep sleep in one of his favourite spots at home.
When we were ready, Henriette let him go gently. It was such a peaceful and lovely way for him to pass and we are so very grateful to her for providing this service in the comfort of our own home.
We highly recommend this service. Thank you again Henriette for your compassion and care before, during and after..”

“Losing our little dog was never going to be easy and because Bob was a bit of a stress head the thought of taking him to the vet filled us with dread.
We feel so fortunate to have heard about ‘Peaceful Paws’ and even though we first contacted you on Saturday you were kind enough to answer our email and find the time to help us.
Your caring and compassionate nature ensured that Bob suffered no stress throughout the procedure and so eased our grief at his passing.
We miss him of course, but take some comfort by the circumstances of his passing.
Personally I will treasure the memory of being able to hold him close at the end, feeling and hearing him snoring peacefully, before quietly slipping away from us. Thank you again.”
— Peter and Sue
“During this time it meant a lot to our family for our dog Chandler to pass away in his home. When we spoke with Henriette on the phone we felt that she was the right person for us, to take care of our beloved Chandler.
She explained how everything will happen, we felt at ease knowing that Chandler won’t feel any pain and stress and will go on his next journey in peace.
Chandler fell asleep in my arms looking so peaceful. It was a very stressful time for us, we had to make the decision fast for him and Henriette’s professionalism and care helped us go through this hard time for our family. She went over and above to help us out.
Henriette took a paw print from Chandler for us as a memory and kept in touch with us to make sure we were o.k. She is a professional, kind and empathetic person..”

“Last night was an extremely sad night when I had to say goodbye to Indy, my very special friend and companion of 13 years.
The visiting vet was very supportive, caring and understanding of the situation and I truly appreciate her role in this.
She took every care to see both Indy and I still got that last special time together and then to see he passed peacefully.
A credit to her profession and really appreciated - highly recommended.”
